WINDOWS 10 activation 0xc0020036 error
You have got 0xc0020036 activation error during the activation process? Below are the solutions to this issue.
CAUSE OF THE ERROR:
This error indicates that Microsoft Software Platform Protection Service is not started, or does not exist, usually happens after upgrades or updates.
SOLUTION:
When Registry Editor opens go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > sppsvc
In that folder near the bottom there is one called "Start" right click on that and click "modify" make sure it is in "Hexadecimal" and change the "value data:" to "2"
After you have changed that, restart your computer and go to your settings to re-type your product key and it should work.
